With immediate effect Persons of Indian Origin including foreign nationals married to Indian Nationals (holding Indian Passport) or Spouse of OCI/PIO Card Holders and dependent children may be granted Only “Entry Visa” (and not “Tourist Visa”) subject to production of documentary proof which would be the Birth certificate, Marriage Certificate mentioning the name of the parents, spouse and a copy of the passport of the parents/spouse.

Fee Schedule
Tourist Visas are normally given with single entry only. Requests for double or triple entries would need to be accompanied by confirmed bookings in and out of the country
Business Visas are granted to those applicants who have been resident for at least two years.

In case of Non-residents, additional charge of $ 15 towards reference cost is also payable.
Satellite telephone services are not permitted in India. Usage of unauthorized handsets of Thuraya, Irridium and such other satellite operators should therefore be avoided.
Satellite telephony through Thuraya sets is unauthorized. Any detection of Thuraya set will lead to its seizure and the holder can be prosecuted under section 6 of Indian Wireless Act and Section 20 of Indian Telegraph Act. Under the law, persons including tourists found to be making unauthorized use of satellite telephone services will be prosecuted and all the sets found in possession of any individual will be seized.
